Route feature:
The Sichuan-Tibet South overland tour covers Chengdu, Kangding, Litang, Markham, Basu, Bomi, Nyingchi, Lhasa. It is a very beautiful route. On the way, You will see Snow-capped mountains, Grasslands, Glaciers, Yak herbs, Tibetan villays, Buddist Monasteries...It is a good route for the one who likes adventures. Right now the road is much better than before, but during summer time, it is very easy get landslides. During winter time, it is with heavy snow.So the best time to go through is Spring and Autumn.

The tour itinerary:
Day01 Arrival at Chengdu
  Chengdu airport picking up, Check in and have a good rest. Overnight at Chengdu.
 
Day02 Chengdu / Moxi (260km, 6-7hours)
  Drive from Chengdu to Moxi, go through Er'lang Tunnel, along Da-Chu river. Overnight at Moxi town
 
Day03  Moxi / Hailuogou Glacier
   Take a sightseeing bus up to Base Camp No.3, then take a cable car up to Base Camp No.4, you will see the lowest glacier in the China, elevation only 2850m. Or you can walk up to Sightseeing platform about 1.5hours, you will pass through a forest. In the afternoon, have hot-spring at Base Camp No.2. Overnight at Moxi Town
 
Day04 Moxi / Kangding / Tangong / Xinduqiao
  Drive from Moxi to Tanggong via Kangding, Visit Tanggong Monastery and have a good view of Tanggong grassland. Then drive back to Xinduqiao which is the heaven for photography. Overnight at Xinduqiao.
 
Day05 Xinduqiao / Litang ( 220Km, 6-7hours)
  Drive from Xinduqiao to Litang, pass by Yangjiang, Cross 2 high passes over 4000m, arrives at Litang Maoya Grassland. Visit the large Litang Chode Monastery, which is built for the third Dalai Lama. Overnight at Litang.
 
Day06  Litang / Markham (272km)
  Drive from Litang to Markham via Batang, Arrives at Markham. Markham is the first county since in Tibet, and is famous for the tibetan Drama, still we call it fruit county. Overnight at Markham.
 
Day7 Markham / Dzogong ( 158km )
  Cross Lancang river, pass over the highest pass- Dongda which is 5008m. Overnight at Dzogong.
 
Day08  Dzogong / Pasho (201km)                                         
  Drive from Dzogong to Pasho via pomba pasture, Overnight at Pasho.
 
Day09  Pasho / Rawok-tso /Pomi (219Km)
  The way from Pasho to Pomi, you will see glaciers, snow-capped mountains, forests, local villages and also the beautiful lake Rawok-tso. Overnight at Pomi.

Day10  Pomi / Bayi (220Km)
  Drive from Pomi to Bayi, pass by the gorgeous alpine valleys lined with rhododendron bushes, cross over the Serkhym-la, airrives at Bayi town. Overnight at Bayi.

Day11 Bayi / cypresses Park /Draksum Tso
  In the morning drive to visit Draksum Tso ( also known as Basum-tso).The lake and its surrounding views are beautiful and the site is also connected to the semi-mythical ruler of the Kham region and Guru Rinpoche. Take a ferry ride off the southern shore of the lake to visit the Tsodzong Monatery, most probably the highest attraction of this site. Afternoon back to Bayi visit Cypresses Park. Overnight at Bayi.

Day12 Bayi / Lhasa (400km)
  Drive from Bayi to Lhasa along Niyang River, Cross the Mila pass. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day13 Lhasa sightseeing one day
  Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkor Market. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day14  Lhasa airport dropping off, end the trip.
