In this tour you willl visit the Holy lake Yamdrok Lake, the impressive the seat of Panchen Lama Tashilhunpo Monastery. You will learn more about tibetan religious and the Tsang area life style.
The tour itinerary:
B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner, N=overnight
Day01 Lhasa /Yamdrok Lake / Shigatse ( L + D)
Up to Kambala pass which is 4794m high, you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso there. It is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Then drive back to chushul, along Nepal friendship way to Shigatse, visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas in the afternoon. Overnight at Shigatse.
Day02 Shigatse / Gyantse / Lhasa (B + L )
After breakfast, drive to Gyantse, only 90km from Shigatse. You will visit the famous stupa - Gyantse Kumpum, the most stunning architectural wonder in Tibet. Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along the friendship way. Overnight at Lhasa by yourself.
