April 16 marks Lhasa Tree-Planting Day |

The Lhasa Government approves that every April 16 is the Lhasa Tree-Planting Day based upon the climate characteristic of Lhasa.
This April 16, Lhasa Forest Bureau organized a tree-planting activity to mobilize locals for voluntarily planting tree and Lhasa Forest Bureau offered tree seedlings to different units.
Since this February, Lhasa started the tree-planting project aiming at building over 80,000 mu forestation and planting 32,000 mu trees along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway, Sichuan-Tibet Highway, Lhasa-Gongar Highway and Qinghai-Tibet Railway.  |
