Trains for Tibet to speed up and travel duration to shorten |

As the trains' speed raised over the whole country, the trains running on Qinghai-Tibet Railway will carry on new train timetables. The starting time from Lhasa to Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Chongqing will be changed as well as the travel duration. Trains from Lhasa to those cities mentioned above will be shortened from one to two hours at the most in duration. The starting time is also shifted forward for about one hour.
For good of passengers to buy tickets, the Lhasa Train Station will extend the ticket selling time to 24 hours a day during Labor Day holiday. The wickets will also be increased from 6 to 9. Workers and policemen will be on guard at both the entrance and exit to ensure passengers' safety. There will also be special assistance provided for the less abled people.
