Giant Foot Prints |
Author:tibet tour Source:tibet tour time:2006-3-1 |
Located 48 km. south Chamdo County, a group of giant footprints can be seen when passing by bus. The biggest footprint is about 1.8 m long and 0.6 m wide appears on a purple rock. Near to it, there are some smaller ones in different sizes similar to those of human beings. The local people believe they are footprints of gods. Scientists find they are not left by mankind or animals for no men or animals can be that big, but only left by the dinosaurs that lived in the world 120,000,000 years ago. Experts have drawn an inference that those footprints can be some kinds of sedimentary structures taken a shape in the course of stratum forming. Yet, we are looking forward to get the true conclusion.
